Norfolk Harbor is the official beginning of the ICW. Marker "36" is mile 0. There is an excellent anchorage on the Portsmouth side of the harbor. Very little current and tide here. The Marina on the Norfolk side charges $6 to tie up for a few hours of shopping at the "Waterside"
