There is a good anchorage to the right/starboard in battery creek. There was a big blow and I was anchored at Beaufort and kept drifting on my anchor into the city marina. (It's all mud there) So I went down to Battery Creek right before the bridge across from a restuarant with a dock on the mainland side. The bottom is hard shells and holds great as I proved cause the wind roared 40 knotts all night and my anchor held fast.
